The exhibition is a small part of a unique gift from the heirs of Professor. Peter Chuhovski - dimensional cubes and modular systems.
Peter Chuhovski was a lecturer at the Art Academy in Sofia, assistant and follower of Ilia Beshkov and the man who collected Beshkov’s written word and many of his drawings and who helped to have them issued. He was Director of Publishing house "Bulgarian artist."
18 years prior to the Hungarian Ernő Rubik, in March 1956, then 34 years old, he invented colourful wooden modules and combinations of them that resemble the later created "Rubik's Cube". The creation of each modular system is thoroughly described in his diary along with mathematical calculations and justifications and shared experiences from his own life. These logs are part of the donation and are owned by the Art Gallery "George Papazov" - Yambol.
